The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, or ETH Zurich, is a technical and scientific university in Zurich. ETH Zurich is one of the ten best universities in the world and is rated as the best continental European university. Its buildings are spread over two sites, one in the center of the city of Zurich and the Hönggerberg site, outside the city center. It is one of the most prestigious universities in Europe or worldwide. The university is divided into 16 departments and offers 23 Bachelor's and 42 Master's degree programs. Further studies for a doctorate in the technical, mathematical and natural sciences are numerous. ETH Zurich employs over 10,000 people. Of the 498 professorships, including 80 assistant professorships, 60 (13%) are held by women. There are 21 Nobel Prize winners associated with ETH.
